You rack the bar, hit finish, and your app shows you a number. Total volume, maybe. A duration. Possibly confetti.
What it never tells you is the only thing you actually wanted to know: was that a good workout?
Every training app can record what you did. Almost none will take a position on whether it moved you forward. That question gets left to you, in the car, doing mental math on sets you half remember. Trainlike 2.0 exists to answer it properly.
Every workout gets a grade
Finish a session in Trainlike and it comes back graded. A letter and a score, built from four dimensions: how much you did, how heavy it was, whether you beat your last outing, and how hard your sets actually were.
The grade is not a participation trophy, and it is not a vibe. Every part of it comes with receipts. The report shows the sets behind the score, what stood out, and where the session fell short. If it says you progressed on bench, it shows you the set that proved it.

At the bottom of every report: targets for next time. Not vague encouragement. Actual numbers for the exercises where a change matters, and you can accept them with a tap. Which brings us to the other half of the loop.
Walk in already knowing your numbers
Open an exercise in Trainlike 2.0 and the decision has been made before you touch a plate. A small chip says what today should do, and the fields are filled in to match.
Beat your numbers last time? The chip reads +5 LBS. Close, but not quite? MATCH YOUR BEST, with the number to beat. Rough patch? EASING BACK, stepping down by the distance your sets actually showed, not some punishing fixed percentage, and climbing again the moment you do.
Tap any chip and it shows its work: the recent sessions it judged, the set that was the number to beat, why the load moves. No black box. If you disagree, type over it. Your hands are always on the bar.
Your program is not the problem
Here is where we are opinionated, and where Trainlike splits from most of the industry.
A lot of apps generate you a new plan every week. It feels like service. It is mostly theater. You cannot measure progress on a lift you never repeat, and an app that reshuffles your training every Monday is quietly making sure you never find out whether any of it worked.
Trainlike does not touch your plan. The exercises you chose stay exactly where you put them, this week and in twelve weeks. The only thing that moves is the targets. Same squat, heavier bar. That is the entire theory of the app, and it is boring on purpose, because boring is what progress looks like from the inside.
Run your own program, bring a coach’s plan, scan one from a screenshot, or have Trainlike build your starting week. However it starts, it stays yours.
The long game, with receipts
Everything you log becomes evidence you can stand on. Personal records are caught live, trophy on the spot, and every one carries the math behind it. Your Strength Score rolls your best recent work across five movement patterns into one number, so “am I actually getting stronger?” finally has an answer that is not a feeling.

It all runs from your wrist too. The watch app logs full workouts on its own, and on the phone the whole session lives on your Lock Screen: tap Done as you rack the bar, rest counts down, next set is waiting.
Switching from another app? Import your history and your records, charts, and Strength Score pick up from day one, not from zero.
