Logging workouts
Start a workout
Start from a routine or start empty and build as you go.
Every workout starts from the Train tab, and there are a few doors in:
- From a routine. Tap the routine, review it, and hit Start Routine. Your exercises arrive with targets already filled in.
- From nothing. Start an empty workout opens a blank workout named for the time of day, and you add exercises as you go.
- From history. Open any past workout and tap Do This Workout Again.
- From your wrist or Home Screen. The watch app and the Up Next widget both start workouts directly.
While a workout is live
The workout takes over the screen, with the elapsed time in the toolbar and a progress bar counting your sets. The chevron in the top corner minimizes it: a persistent Workout in progress bar stays above the tab bar so you can browse the rest of the app and jump back with a tap. Your workout survives phone locks, app switches, even an app restart. Need a plain stopwatch or countdown mid-session? The clock pill next to the workout title has both.
Backing out
Cancelling asks first: Discard Workout throws the workout away, Keep Working Out returns you to it. Leave the app with a workout running and Trainlike checks in on you; pick how soon in Settings → Unfinished Workout Alert.
