Routines and programs

Scan a workout

Turn a screenshot or photo of a workout into a routine.

That workout living in your screenshots: a coach’s program, a note from a friend, something you saved off social media. Point Trainlike at the image and it becomes a real routine.

Scan it

  1. Tap Create routine on the Train tab, then Scan from Image.
  2. Pick up to two images of one workout from your photo library: notes app, chat thread, a photo you took of the whiteboard. Screenshots work best.
  3. Trainlike reads out the exercises, sets, reps, rest, and any notes it can find.
  4. Review the matches: each scanned line is paired with a library exercise, with its real thumbnail so you can see what got matched. Remap anything that landed wrong, or create the exercise as a custom if it is not in the library.
  5. Tap Add to Routine, and the exercises drop into the routine editor to adjust and save.

What it keeps

Rep ranges written as “8-12” become target ranges rather than being flattened into one number, and weights are read exactly as written, in your unit. Supersets in the image get flagged, with a reminder to group them with the superset button while you are in the editor.

Allowances

Scanning runs on our servers, so it asks you to be signed in. It comes with a few free uses, then it is part of Pro. See Free workouts and Pro.
