Warm-up and plate calculators

Ramp into your working weight and load the bar right.

Two small tools that remove the arithmetic between you and the bar: one plans your ramp-up sets, the other tells you which plates to load.

Warm-up calculator

Switch it on in Settings → Warm-up Calculator. From then on, barbell, dumbbell, machine, and kettlebell lifts carry Add Warm Up Sets in their … menu:

  1. Enter the target: working weight for a bar or machine, per dumbbell or per kettlebell where that is the honest number.
  2. Trainlike lays out percentage-based ramp sets (“60% × 5”), with per-side plate loadouts, down to “empty bar” when that is the right answer.
  3. Tap Insert Warm-up Sets and they drop into the exercise as warm-up rows, on the faster warm-up rest timer.

The ramp itself is yours: the same settings screen edits the steps, percentages, and rounding.

Plate calculator

On a barbell lift (or a custom exercise you flagged as plate-loaded), the keyboard above a weight field carries a plates chip with the live loadout: “45 + 25 / side”. Tap it and Trainlike draws the load per side: which plates, in what order, like a bar. Bar presets cover Olympic, Women’s, EZ, and no bar, plus custom bars you save. If a weight cannot be built from your plates, it offers the closest loadable one and can write it straight back into the set.

Your gym’s inventory

The calculator is only as honest as its plates. Set your available plates and bar weights in Settings → Plate Calculator, home gym owners especially: no more loadouts that assume plates you do not own.
