Settings and data
Your data
iCloud sync, export and import, and what never leaves your phone.
Short version: your training history is yours, it lives on your device, and you can walk out with all of it any time.
Where things live
- Workouts, routines, records, measurements, custom exercises: on your iPhone, synced through your personal iCloud account. That sync is what carries your history to a new phone.
- Check-in photos: this device only. Never uploaded, never synced, deleted with the app.
- Insights: generated on our servers from the workout being analyzed and the training context you chose to give (profile, notes, recent sessions of the same lifts), delivered back to you and stored on your device. Images you scan into routines go up for the scan, that is what scanning is.
Export
Settings → Export Workout Data writes your complete workout history, every set, to a CSV and opens the share sheet: save it to Files, AirDrop it, whatever you like. Any spreadsheet opens it, and other apps can import it. No lock-in, on principle. (Measurements, photos, and routines are not part of the file; it is your training log.)
Import
The same section imports from Strong, Hevy, or a Trainlike backup, with a review step and reversible batches; importing is part of Pro, while export is always free. The walkthrough is in Import your history.
The full detail lives in the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, both linked from Settings.
